Every day is Labor Day

September 2, 2016 |

1 Thessalonians 1:3 – We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

As our nation celebrates Labor Day, I celebrate all those who labor at HSHM in every capacity.  We have some people at HSHM who are so happy to be working that they whistle, sing, or hum while they work.  I pray that every person at HSHM knows how valued and appreciated they are as children of God and as laborers for the Lord.

I have to share a special story from last week.  Our good friends at 1st Farm Credit Services are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year.  In honor of their anniversary they gave away $100,000 to select organizations throughout their service area.  HSHM was one of the fortunate organizations to receive a $1,000 award.  How terrific is that?   HSHM will celebrate our 100th anniversary next year.  We do not have $100,000 to give away, but I am sure that we can think of 100 awesome things we can do to spread the joy, hope, and love of Christ throughout the year.  In fact, let's start practicing this year!

Be joyful in HOPE, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayerRomans 12:12
