Happy Mother's Day!
A photo of Home Sweet Home in 1918 captures a prominent placard that reads, "How long since you wrote to Mother?" Our founder, Billy Shelper, had a great affection for his own mother and encouraged others to express love and appreciation for their mothers. Today we have 6 mothers and 21 children residing at Home Sweet Home. We have 2 mothers and 5 children participating in our Bridge of Hope program and hundreds of additional mothers who are members of our Bread for Life Food Co-op or who come to our dining center with their children for meals. I wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of them and pray that God will bless them so that they may be a blessing to their children. I invite you to join me in praying for all mothers everywhere.
Be joyful in HOPE, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayerRomans 12:12
