Creative Expression Classes

Teach art of all kinds

Objective: To provide opportunities to adult clients to learn or express themselves with the arts – including but not limited to: painting, sculpting, writing, sewing, crafts, pottery or “Whatever You Call Art”. 

Location: HSHM Shelter at 303 East Oakland Avenue, Bloomington, IL 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan creative class
  • Provide representation of finished product
  • Set up for class and clean up
  • Expenses covered by Home Sweet Home

Qualifications:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Love of the Arts
  • Desire to teach other your art form
  • Volunteer application on file

Time Commitment: Whatever time length your project requires 

Training/Support: Nora Zaring will be available to answer questions and buy supplies if needed. 

Benefits: Satisfaction of seeing our adult client’s self-esteem grow. Client’s creative expression projects will be eligible for submission to Home Sweet Home’s Annual Art Show in October.
