Night In A Car 2019 Drives In Big Support

February 14, 2019

Home Sweet Home Ministries, in partnership with Trinity Lutheran Church, is thrilled to share the official results of the third annual Night In A Car. With the generous support of the community, $90,000 was raised!

Over 150 participants braved the cold on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington. Individuals, families, churches, and businesses including Keller Williams Realty, Connect Transit, and Integrity Technology Solutions all experienced a unique glimpse into homelessness. Home Sweet Home Ministries is truly grateful for the community’s continued involvement.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we compiled the final total,” expresses Mary Ann Pullin, CEO of Home Sweet Home Ministries. “A website error resulted in earlier speculation that the goal of $100,000 had been reached. We are thrilled with the level of participation and support from our community. Hundreds of local residents are more aware of the realities of homelessness in our community and have raised funds to help meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness.”

Night in a Car has grown each of the last three years.  Home Sweet Home Ministries is preparing for a larger event, with more teams, participants, sponsors, and fundraising in 2020.
