Current Needs List

Families come to us seeking better access to food and other basic necessities. Listed below are the most needed items that we require on a regular basis to adequately serve our community. Please bring your donated items any time to Home Sweet Home Ministries located at 303 East Oakland Avenue in Bloomington. Thank You! Please note: We can no longer accept food donations prepared outside of commerical kitchens. We appreciate your understanding.

Food items:

  • Canned Chicken (large cans for kitchen, regular cans for co-op)
  • Cooking Oil
  • Low Sodium Items (e.g. soups, veggies for Food Farmacy)
  • Canned Pasta
  • Jelly
  • Boxed meals (Hamburger Helper)
  • Brown rice
  • Bottled water
  • 100% juice
  • Glucerna

*Please Note: We gladly accept many items in bulk. Please call us at 309-828-7356 with any questions.

Non-Food items:

  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Ziploc Bags (gallon size)
  • Dish Detergent
  • Bleach or Disinfectant products
  • Combination locks
